Avesta, Sweden. Today we’re proud to announce that EYEBALLERS AB have secured a new investment round, inviting new owners to the organization to make EYEBALLERS “Hela Sveriges lag” and elevate EYEBALLERS as an esports team & lifestyle brand.
In 2022, two of Sweden’s most successful esports stars ever, Jesper “JW” Wecksell and Robin “flusha” Rönnquist teamed up with Black Molly Entertainment to bring the legendary organization EYEBALLERS back to life. Only 1.5 years into the project EYEBALLERS reached its first milestone - beating all other Swedish top organizations in Svenska Cupen 2023 and claiming the no.1 title in Sweden.
As EYEBALLERS is entering the next chapter as an organization, we’re extremely proud to announce new owners entering the ownership of EYEBALLERS; including Victor Leksell, Adrian Kempe, Mikael Falgard and Daniel Antell.
Victor Leksell is without a doubt one of Sweden's biggest artists and an avid EYEBALLERS fan. He had his breakthrough in 2018 with the debut single “Tappat” and two years later his hit single “Svag '' became the most streamed song ever in Swedish, approaching an astonishing 200 million streams. Countless Number 1’s on the charts, prestigious Grammy awards (Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year) and dedicated listeners of all ages and cities show his breadth and unique way of reaching into people's hearts.
Adrian Kempe is a Swedish professional ice hockey player for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL) but also a dedicated gamer. Kempe made his SHL debut in MoDo during the 2013–14 season. In the 2015 Calder Cup, playing for the Manchester Monarchs he got nicknamed "Juice”, after scoring 8 times in their playoff run. Today Kempe is one Sweden’s most recognized and established NHL players playing currently in the leading line of Los Angeles Kings, and participating in the ongoing IIHF World Championship 2024 representing Team Sweden.
Finally, but not least: two of the co-founders behind the Swedish game sensation GeoGuessr; Mikael Falgard and Daniel Antell, will join as new owners. The prominent duo have long entrepreneurial background but also valuable experience from the sports business, that will be a very important asset as EYEBALLERS grows as an organization.
All new investors will help EYEBALLERS grow our lifestyle brand beyond esports, but also direct investments in our performance department, new merchandise and additional content creators. We look forward to presenting some of the news in the coming days.
